DUNK – Developing Unity, Nurturing Knowledge – is a youth-led, community-based NGO founded in 2010 in Nima, Accra. Operating in seven communities across Accra and Tamale, DUNK empowers young people through inclusive sports and education. Our programs use group sports as a tool to build self-esteem, social skills, and active lifestyles, while also equipping youth with entrepreneurial and life skills for long-term economic, emotional, and intellectual independence. DUNK’s impact is driven by a dedicated Board of Directors, Executive and Management Team, local project officers, and passionate volunteers from Ghana and abroad. Grounded in the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (Articles 28 & 31), the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Ghana’s National Youth Policy, we remain committed to building inclusive, resilient communities led by empowered youth.
